Something to do together, every visit.

amāte makes beautiful, low- and non-digital activity kits that keep older hands and minds busy, and turn a visit into time well spent.

How it's being made

Every amāte kit is shaped by older adults, their families and the people who care for them. We're testing early prototypes with care homes in Portugal and the UK.

We measure every detail, from text size to how easy a lid is to open, so each kit works for older hands and eyes.

Mike Pearson, founder of amāte
“When I visited my Gran, you could see the struggle to connect between my young kids and their Great-Gran. I put a silicone colouring mat on the table. They all started to doodle and suddenly three generations were doing something together. amāte is about making that happen on every visit.”
